Karen Barker - McTimoney Chiropractor

Karen primarily uses the McTimoney method of Chiropractic to treat her patients. It is a relatively gentle, yet effective technique suitable for all adults including the elderly. To compliment this approach she subsequently trained in Advanced Remedial Massage and Soft Tissue Therapy. This gives greater scope when addressing issues and problems facing patients. These can be in the form of musculoskeletal injury, pain or dysfunction caused by any of life's stresses. Whether an injury, long term chronic postural problem or an acute episode of a recurrent problem she will use all her skills to try to ensure you have a positive outcome and a swift recovery.
Melanie Kemp - McTimoney Chiropractor
Melanie is the daughter of Derek Kemp who practised and taught chiropractic here at Forest Edge for many years. Being surrounded by and introduced to chiropractic from an early age she witnessed and experienced how chiropractic can help people from all walks of life. She has a masters degree in chiropractic, diplomas in massage, is registered with the General Chiropractic Council and is a member of the McTimoney Chiropractic Association.
Melanie is trained in both McTimoney Chiropractic and remedial massage techniques. She uses these skills to help resolve her patients acute and chronic musculoskeletal problems. She works with children through to the elderly and has a special interest working with expectant mothers and their babies. Her aim is to help her patients get back to doing what they enjoy most and to improve their quality of life and experience.
Laura Deane - McTimoney Chiropractor
Laura Deane has been aware of the value and power of regular McTimoney chiropractic care since a young age when it helped her to overcome and recover from both a traumatic physical injury and glandular fever. Since then she has studied humanities to both a bachelors and masters level at university before deciding that her future really lay with chiropractic. As a result she attended the McTimoney College of Chiropractic where she received two awards for academic excellence during the course of her studies and graduated with a first class masters degree. She has also completed short courses in soft tissue release, temporomandibular rehabilitation, biogeometric integration and chiropractic assessment of the child.
Chris Galloway - Osteopath
BSc (Hons) OST DO ND
Chris graduated from the College of Osteopaths and the British College of Osteopathic Medicine (BCOM) with a first class honours degree in osteopathy. He is registered with the General Osteopathic Council (GOsC), is a member of the British Osteopathic Association (BOA) and The Sutherland Society. He is an experienced and well renowned state registered osteopath who treats a wide range of acute and chronic physical conditions. His approach encompasses structural, cranial and naturopathic osteopathy, believing good health results from a balance between the structural, nutritional and psychological aspects of a person’s well-being. His gentle and effective techniques are suitable for people of all ages, including sports people, the elderly, pregnant women, babies and children.
